Catalina Plaza Hotel Sostenible

An excellent hotel in a fantastic location. We were heading off on a cruise the next morning and the Catalina is superbly placed with a taxi rank opposite, but we just walked as it wasn’t even 800m away. Great for a stroll along Playa Canteras just 2 minutes away with its lovely promenade and many restaurants. The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable - loved the automatic curtains - with a well equipped shower room. Beautiful roof terrace and bar on the top floor where we had a very nice Al fresco breakfast too. Steffanie at reception is wonderful - very helpful, friendly and accommodating by looking after our bags after check out. Will definitely stay again.

The location is perfect - everything you need is within walking distance: restaurants, small shops, beach, bus station (number 60 goes from the airport), museums (aquarium and technology museum). Rooms are beautiful and clean, there is a smart system which I loved. Breakfast is served on a beautiful roof top where we spent a lot of time - eating and having that morning coffee. Breakfast is delicious and the coffee is great. Staff is really friendly and helpful. If you want the full roof top experience I highly recommend to use the jaccuzzi. You can use it every day for 1 hour with a time reservation on the reception desk!

The staff was amazing and friendly. The rooftop bar was the best place to hang out and work from in the evenings. The location is 4mins away from the beach and close to all the restaurants and bars. There is a taxi rank close to the hotel too if you want to travel the city by taxi. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard and had a japanese toilet which was a life changer. We had a fridge in our room to store bottles of water and kept them very cold. Will definitely consider this hotel again if I were to ever return to Las Palmas.

An unassuming street level entrance hides a fabulous hotel. The location is great - so close to the beach, an easy stroll to the shops, and surrounded by bars and restaurants. Bus terminal is close but you cannot hear it, making easy access to other parts of the city and island. My room was a good size, a little dark but really peaceful, which was what I had asked for. The roof terrace had all day sunshine and the vending machine sold all sorts of food, snacks and drinks. As a solo traveller I felt very comfortable here

The roof top is very nice both for work and for having fun. It has a good view over the square and nice round tables where groups can sit and have a chat or work together. The toilets are also very nice (Japanese style). When someone told me about it at first I thought they were probably confusing with the other Catalina hotel that is 5 stars but it was a pleasant surprise that it was actually this one that had those toilets.
